When Artashes defeated the Alans army, he captured the young son of the Alans king and wouldn’t release him, even after the King of Alans promised anything in return. Then Satenik, the king’s daughter, pleaded with Artashes for her brother. Artashes was so impressed with Satenik’s words that he decided to marry her. Thus the peace between two nations was established.

When Queen Semiramis learned of the handsome Ara, she desired him. After numerous rejections by Ara, Semiramis went to war to get him at any cost, and Ara dies in the battle. When Armenian armies went back to get revenge, she announced that Ara was not dead, that her gods brought him back to life. The news of this spread all across the Armenian land, and the fighting stopped.
